The horrible spectacle of another school shooting -- 17 people were killed in this latest incident -- has re-ignited the long-simmering debate over what to do about this problem.
One idea has been to permit teachers to carry guns while in school in the hope that armed teachers would be able to deter or stop a shooting.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones is even offering free classes to teachers who want to get trained and licensed to carry concealed weapons.
