Beach visitors got to see one of nature’s more amazing sights on Friday morning off Florida's Palm Beach Shores.
It was a large bait ball heading south.
Underwater photographer Jim Abernethy estimated about a million mullet and finger mullet were being chased by tarpon and possibly sharks.
He says they are driven south by the temperature and will likely reside until spring.
He also says they bring predators to the area as well as underwater photographers like himself.
