BOULDER, Colo. -- The parking services department at the University of Colorado is giving students and staff an early Christmas present.

People with outstanding parking tickets from Dec. 1 or earlier can get them waived by donating a minimum of five non-perishable food items this week only.

The food will be donated to Harvest of Hope Pantry, which provides healthy food to Boulder families and individuals in need of food assistance.

The school also ran this special program in April.
