Pet lover pays for every adoption at crowded shelter

Posted

A self-proclaimed pet lover is helping a crowded California animal shelter find homes for its pets as she is offering to pay the adoption fee for every adoption from now through the end of the year.

Realtor Kim Pacini-Hauch is paying for every adoption at the Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento from now through the end of the year. The adoption fee is typically $85 for dogs and $65 for cats.

The shelter said it is nearly full, and adoptions will help create space for more incoming pets.

Pacini-Hauch said she is sponsoring the adoption drive in honor of "Teddy," a terrier she adopted from the shelter in 1984.
