CLEARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A woman died Saturday afternoon after being rescued from her burning home, according to Clearcreek Township firefighters.
According to a news release from the township’s fire department, a neighbor called 911 after spotting the fire around 4 p.m. The woman, who lived alone, was still inside.
A group of firefighters entered the home while others began to douse the fire. They found the woman and got her outside, where emergency medical teams attempted unsuccessfully to save her life.
Firefighters did not identify the woman Saturday night. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
