HAMILTON TWP — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on collision that killed one in Hamilton Township Sunday.
Police say Brian R. Young, 63, drifted left of center in his 2000 Ford F-150 and struck a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Rodney T. Ferneding, 47, head-on.
Young was not wearing his seat belt and was transported to Arrow Springs Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Ferneding was transported to Bethesda North Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in his vehicle, Bradley T. Zimpelman, was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a contributing factor in the crash, police said.
The accident is still under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
