An eighth-grade Mason City Schools student was hit and killed by a driver in Cleveland on Friday, according to a spokesperson with the school district.
The district said Mason Middle School student Jared Camacho had attended Mason City Schools since preschool.
"He was bright and funny with a warm heart," said Tracey Carson, spokesperson for the district, in a press release. "He loved playing outside, swinging, drawing and putting things together."
