MASON, Ohio -- Harold Grice coached his final game Thursday night after a 35-year career with the Mason Comets.
"The most rewarding thing is seeing ex-players when I'm out in the community," Grice said. "Still hearing them call you coach, to me, is the biggest compliment I can ever receive from those guys."
Grice ended his teaching career at Mason High School several years ago and has split his time since then coaching and being a substitute teacher for Mason City Schools.
"I enjoy being with the kids," Grice said. "For 35 years, I've just had a great time doing this."
