A semitrailer collided with a Lebanon ambulance Sunday morning, injuring a medic and a patient inside.
The ambulance had been making a run, lights and sirens on, when it collided with the semitrailer at an intersection. The impact knocked the ambulance on its side, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The medic and patient inside the ambulance were both injured, neither seriously, and taken to Atrium Medical Center. A Lebanon Police Department spokesperson said both had been conscious and talking after the crash.
The semitrailer driver was uninjured.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol will investigate the crash. According to the agency's news release, investigators do not suspect the involvement of drugs or alcohol.
