LEBANON, Ohio -- On Friday night, Freddie Green told 911 dispatchers he shot and killed his father. Green said his father, Sidney Green, threatened him and his brother with a gun.

LISTEN to the emergency calls below:

Freddie V. Green called 911 at about 8:30 p.m. to report the shooting. When police arrived at the scene on Oxford Drive, they found Sidney Green, 64, dead of a gunshot wound, according to a news release.

Freddie Green said he thought his father was going to shoot and kill him.

"The other day he had the gun and he said he was going to shoot me...he had the gun loaded cocked bullet in the chamber and my little brother stopped him," he said in the emergency call. "A little bit ago he started again. He went and grabbed the gun and I took it from him -- I fired and I shot him."

Green was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence.

Green was given a $500,000 bond Monday in Warren County.

"Can I...am I going to be released?" Green asked the judge during Monday's hearing.

The two charges against Green are preliminary, prosecutors said, and more serious charges could follow.
