MAINEVILLE, Ohio — No one should fish or swim in the Little Miami River south of Old 3C Highway until further notice, the Warren County Health District announced Wednesday. There’s wastewater in it.
According to the WCHD, a broken sewer main spilled wastewater into the river. Health officials will work to repair the breach and test the water for signs of increased bacteria.
In the meantime, swimming in that region of the Little Miami or eating fish that have ingested contaminated water could potentially lead to dysentery, gastroenteritis or hepatitis A.
