FRANKLIN, Ohio — A Franklin man arrested Wednesday is the "primary suspect" in a shooting on Monday night, according to a news release.
Police arrested Jesse James, 39, at about 9 p.m. while responding to 613 Spring Ave. for a reported assault involving James. Police said James ran from the scene. Several agencies in Warren County set up a police perimeter to locate the man.
James is a suspect in the shooting of Timothy Lazier, 40, who was shot once in the head on Monday, police said. Franklin police found Lazier shot at the Franklin Commons Apartment Complex. No one at the shooting scene was cooperative with police, according to the release.
Lazier's condition has not been released.
James is charged with felonious assault and is being held in the Warren County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday according to the jail's website.
