BLANCHESTER, Ohio — State troopers are investigating a crash that left one Blanchester man dead Saturday.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Columbus Street and Cherry Street in the village of Blanchester around 8:00 a.m.
According to investigators, 38-year-old Michael Conley of Blanchester was driving south on Columbus Street toward Cherry Street and State Route 28 when he was struck by Timothy Wyatt, 24, of Hamden, Ohio, who was traveling west on State Route 28.
Authorities said Wyatt failed to yield from a stop sign and struck Conley's vehicle on the left side. The crash sent Wyatt's vehicle into an Autozone near the intersection, causing serious damage to the building.
Conley was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said Wyatt was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and released.
