HARLAN TOWNSHIP, Oh — A bicyclist was fatally struck by a minivan in Harlan Township early Sunday evening, at around 4:51 p.m., according to police.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, 34-year-old Stephanie Vesper, of Loveland, was traveling north on Morrow Rossburg Road with another cyclist when she lost control of her bike and crossed the center line in front of a black Honda minivan.
Vesper was transported by the Harlan Township Fire Department to a landing zone nearby, where she was then transported by AirCare to UCMC and was pronounced deceased.
Harlan Township fire chief Dusty Vinop said the Ohio State Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation, and were working on an accident reconstruction when his team left the scene Sunday evening.
The driver of the minivan was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation by the OSHP Lebanon Patrol Post.
