CINCINNATI — If you think it's cold in the Tri-State now, just remember: It could be worse.
In 1977, Cincinnati was blasted with a winter blizzard that brought bitter temperatures cold enough to freeze the Ohio River.
Although it's been over 45 years since that happened, the event left a mark in the memories of many in the Tri-State.
The blizzard lasted for almost two weeks at the end of January that year.
Many Tri-State residents took the rare opportunity to walk across the river.
9 On Your Side dug up archive footage of the blizzard, which can be viewed in the media player.
