TAYLOR MILL, Ky. — Police arrested a woman in connection with a bank robbery in Taylor Mill on Saturday morning just minutes after the robbery occurred.

Taylor Mill police said the incident happened at Fifth Third Bank at 5002 Old Taylor Mill Rd at approximately 9 a.m.

The woman gave the branch teller a note directing her to keep her hands visible, hand over cash with no dye-packs and "no one will get hurt," Taylor Mill police said.

The suspect then fled on foot through woods behind the bank, and officers caught up with her coming out of the woods on a bike and wearing a backpack.

She was carrying a large amount of cash and a change of clothes when police found her, and she confessed to robbing the bank after employees identified her.

Police charged Tamara Jan Thompson, 45 of Independence, with first degree robbery. She was lodged in the Kenton County Detention Center.
