FORT WRIGHT, Ky. — The motorcyclist killed in a Tuesday morning crash has been identified by the Hamilton County Coroner.

The victim, 28-year-old Jacob Rice of Burlington, was flown from the scene to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he died.

Fort Wright police responded to eastbound Interstate 275 near Madison Pike at 7:17 a.m. for a crash involving three vehicles and a motorcycle.

Rice stopped quickly to avoid one of the stopped vehicles, Fort Wright police told WCPO. He swerved and slid into a guardrail. No other injuries were reported.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of I-275 for several hours. The interstate has since reopened.

The Kenton County Police Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Unit is assisting Fort Wright police with the investigation. Any witnesses to the crash are asked to call Fort Wright police at 859-331-2191.
