FORT MITCHELL, Ky. - It took about six hours, but southbound Interstate 71/75 reopened in Northern Kentucky shortly after 2 a.m. Monday.
The interstate looked like a parking lot and a major traffic jam resulted from a crash near Dixie Highway that shut down the southbound lanes shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday.
The crash involved two semi trucks and two passenger cars, according to police.
Road crews had to clean up a diesel spill, and a second crash was reported at Kyles Lane, adding to the delay, police said.
Three people suffered minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals, police said.
