ERLANGER, Ky. — With Ohio and Kentucky state leaders calling for limits on the size of gatherings, many people are thinking about what that will mean for their Thanksgiving plans.
If COVID-19 has the Tri-State in a fowl mood, Tewes Farm in Erlanger says they have several options for people who still want to gobble-gobble a big meal and get stuffed this holiday season.
The normally prolific purveyors of poultry usually sell close to 3,000 turkeys a year, but they’ve already had copious cancellations currently ‘cause of coronavirus concerns.
They’ve had to think outside the box, or in this case, coop, to feed families this year.
“We’re trying to give options to people to downsize – so we’re selling just the turkey breast or a boneless breast,” said Stephanie Tewes. “We can make almost any size to fit a small family or family gathering.”
The Erlanger, Kentucky, farm can also sell half-turkeys.
Tewes farm has moved orders online and offers curbside pickup.
