CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- A driver struck and killed a woman as she was crossing a road near Thomas More University Friday, authorities said.
A driver hit Maja Heist, 46, at about 6:35 p.m. as she was crossing Thomas More Parkway at Centre View Boulevard. Heist was in a marked crosswalk. Both directions of traffic had a green light at the time of the crash, and Heist had a “Don’t Walk” signal, authorities said.
First responders transported Heist to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
WCPO is not naming the driver because the driver has not been charged with a crime. Neither speed nor impairment are factors in the crash.
