COVINGTON, Ky. — Tips helped police and Holmes Middle School staff find and safely recover a student’s gun fewer than 15 minutes after it arrived on campus Monday morning, according to a letter principal Jeanetta Kathman sent to parents.
The student was arrested and charged with bringing a weapon to school. No one was injured.
“Parents, please discuss this incident with your children and emphasize that it is against the law to bring weapons of any type to school,” Kathman wrote.
