Police ID man shot dead in Covington alley

Someone shot a man at least three times in an alley Monday night, according to Lt. David Pennington. Police found the man, who was in his late teens to early 20s, dead in an alley between Hawthorne and W 18th Streets, Pennington said. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots at about 10 p.m.

COVINGTON, Ky. -- Someone shot a man at least three times in an alley Monday night, according to Lt. David Pennington. 

Police found 19-year-old Malachi Rice, of Cincinnati, dead in an alley near 1812 Euclid Avenue, Chief Robert Nader said. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots at about 10 p.m.

There is no suspect information available at this time. Anyone with information should call police.
