Covington police searching for suspect in armed robbery

COVINGTON — Covington police are searching for a man in connection with an armed robbery at a Mainstrasse shop Monday.

Witnesses said a man robbed multiple people at gunpoint at approximately 2 p.m. in Kimmy’s Korner Grocery at 837 Main St. The suspect made off with cash and a wallet.

Police identified the suspect as Robert Schneider, 36. He was last seen wearing a Cincinnati Bengals shirt, orange shorts, a black and red hat and sunglasses. He is five-foot-ten-inches and 210 pounds.

Schneider should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, police said. If you see him, call 911 immediately.

Schneider currently has an active warrant for first degree robbery and an absconding warrant from probation and parole in Kentucky. Police also said the suspect “was involved in multiple incidents in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati.”
