COVINGTON, Ky. – Several construction workers responded to a cry for help and subdued a man with a knife after he robbed three women of their purses, police said.
The robberies happened between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Scott Boulevard and Pike street, police said.
The suspect, Corey Miller, 29, of Covington, forcibly robbed the three women in a span of 34 minutes, police said.
The third victim, who was accosted in the City Center Garage, chased the robber and cried for help.
Covington Assistant Chief Robert C. Nader thanked the construction workers for coming to the rescue.
Miller also had a warrant out of Hamilton County for robbery, police said.
