Changes to NKY's annual Christmas Day dinner

COVINGTON, Ky. — It wouldn't be Christmas Day without the annual Northern Kentucky Christmas Day dinner, but there are some changes in place for this year's dinner.

For years, the Sunday Morning Club has sponsored the event, which regularly feeds close to 2,000 people at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center each Christmas Day.

"This is our 33rd year with the dinner and it just makes you feel good," Tom Hall, president of the Sunday Morning Club, said

This year, the club will still be feeding those in need, but the food will be in take-out containers which will have turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, dessert and more.

The club will also be at the Parish Kitchen on Madison Avenue in Covington, rather than the convention center.

"It's a little different this year because you have to take it with you," Hall said. "But that's our main goal, to help anyone we can."

You can walk or drive up to Parish Kitchen at 1561 Madison Ave. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
