LEESBURG, Ohio -- A tornado destroyed a barn early Wednesday morning in Highland County.
The damaging storm struck at about 3 a.m. on state Route 771 near Leesburg. No injuries have been reported, according to the Highland County Emergency Management Agency.
The National Weather Service confirmed Thursday that there had been a tornado near Leesburg. Meteorologists were still working Meteorologists were still working on a final assessment of the tornado and damage.
Elsewhere, damage was hit or miss. A few barns' roofs were blown off, trees were snapped in half and the front porch of a house was gone.

Other neighbors just lost a few shingles from their roofs and not much else, though fields and front yards were soaked from heavy rain.
EMA officials planned to spend Wednesday surveying the damage.
