FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP (HIGHLAND COUNTY), Ohio -- A Highland County man was killed in a crash while driving on a road closed for maintenance, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Clint Walker, 60, of Leesburg, was driving a Ford pickup truck northeast on Fairfield Road at about 1:40 p.m. Wednesday when he hit road maintenance equipment, troopers said. At the time, the road was closed for maintenance.
Troopers don't believe Walker was wearing his seatbelt.
Walker was driven to Highland District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash is still under investigation.
