HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio -- A teen is accused of leading sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase Sunday night for more than 20 miles on Interstate 275.

According to an affidavit, Wyatt Buhl, 18, almost hit several other vehicles with his 2009 Scion when the chase started near Interstate 74 in Whitewater Township. Speeds, the affidavit states, sometimes hit 100 mph.

Buhl eventually left the car and took off on foot, according to the affidavit.

Herold Buhl said he spoke with his son by phone moments before the chase.

"He was having a hard time breathing, and you know, was just confused and panicking ... and once I heard the sirens, the phone went dead, and that's when I, you know, I panicked, I just got concerned," he said.

Wyatt Buhl was arrested near Interstate 71 in Blue Ash and faces several charges, including failure to comply with the order of a police officer, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.

He was released on bond and is scheduled for a court hearing Tuesday morning.
