SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Alcohol or drugs are believed to be a factor in a crash involving a Sycamore Township medic and a pickup truck, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
The driver hit the medic’s vehicle, which was in emergency response with flashing lights and an audible siren at the intersection of East Kemper Road and Snider Road. A patient was on board.
Police said Eric Standford, 36, failed to stop his red 2006 Chevrolet Silverado for the emergency vehicle, driven by Richard Cathcart, 40, a firefighter and medic with Sycamore Township.
Both Stanford and Cathcart were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit.
