CINCINNATI — Police arrested a man Tuesday in connection with the murder of a man who was found shot 14 times in Springfield Township on Sept. 2, according to court documents.

Investigators said David Steward, 31, waited across the street from the home of the victim, 41-year-old Charles Ross Jr., and followed him as he left into a park near Pleasant Hill and Lotus Hill drives.

Steward waited for Ross to ride his bike back through the park before shooting him 14 times, according to the affidavit.

Later, Steward admitted to detectives that he shot Ross and threw his weapon into Winton Woods Lake.

Steward is currently lodged in the Hamilton County Justice Center on charges of aggravated murder and tampering with evidence.

Steward is set to be arraigned Wednesday at 9 a.m.
