SPRINGDALE, Ohio — Police have identified 21-year-old Desmon Sayles as the victim of a fatal shooting at a Springdale apartment complex just before noon Tuesday.
Police also said they have detained one of three people seen fleeing the Willows of Springdale Apartments on Chesterdale Drive at the time of the shooting.
Sayles was found in an apartment suffering a gunshot wound to the chest, according to a release.
Several hours later, a large fight occurred at the apartment complex, and one arrest was made unrelated to the homicide.
Springdale Police, with the assistance of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, will have extra patrols in the area throughout the night
It's not clear what led to the shooting.
