SPRINGDALE, Ohio — Springdale Police said a 13-year-old girl was found shot in a parking lot outside Tri-County Mall Friday evening.
Officers responded to the mall on Princeton Pike before 9:30 p.m. to find the girl shot in the stomach.
Police Chief Thomas Wells said three people inside of a car were on their way to get on a party bus nearby when they were shot at. Then, they drove to the parking lot outside BJ's Restaurant, where police found the girl.
The girl was still alert when crews transported her to the hospital. Her current condition is unknown. No other injuries were reported.
Police have not released any suspect information.
