SHARONVILLE, Ohio (AP) -- Police have arrested Kathryn Carmen, 34, after the body of her boyfriend was found four days after he died from a suspected drug overdose inside their shared motel room.
Authorities say Jacob Tackett's body was found by employees of the Crosslands Motel on June 14 after they smelled a foul odor from the room.
Carmen told police she and Tackett had used heroin on June 10, and she had passed out. When she awoke Tackett was not breathing so she attempted CPR before she passed out again.
Court documents say Carmen covered Tackett's body with clothes after waking up the next morning and Tackett was not breathing.
Carmen is charged with abuse of a corpse and is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a one million dollar bond.
