SHARONVILLE, Ohio -- Police think an early Thursday morning shooting that happened on Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway was likely not a random act.
District 4 police said a woman showed up at the Baymont Inn just off Sharon Road at about 2 a.m. Thursday claiming she'd been shot by somebody as she drove on the highway near Interstate 75.
Investigators "are not 100 percent confident in the location of the offense," Cincinnati Police Lt. Steve Saunders said.
CPD District 4's Investigative Unit supervisor does not believe the shooting was random, according to Saunders.
Police said the woman was taken to the hospital with injuries to her hand and forearm.
