NORWOOD, Ohio -- A police officer caught a goat wandering around Norwood Monday morning.

Officer Webster was able to lasso the small goat and return it to the owner.

Lt. Ron Murphy said the goat's owner was charged with owning a prohibited animal.

“We have to admit that none of us ever thought we would be corralling a goat when we signed up for this job. Just goes to prove that you never really know what will happen during your tour of duty,” the department posted on its Facebook page.

Goats and other farm animals are prohibited in the city of Norwood.
