MOUNT HEALTHY, Ohio — The owners of a Mount Healthy pet store are looking for a person who stole a puppy, saying they're concerned about the puppy's well-being.
Surveillance video from Animal House on Hamilton Avenue Friday shows a person pick up a shih tzu puppy and tuck it into a bag before leaving the store. Owner Mike Raleigh said they noticed a puppy was missing about an hour later when they went to microchip the litter.
"That somebody could even think like that is beyond me," he said. "... Somebody that is able to do something like that ... makes me wonder, what type of care is this puppy receiving right now?"
The person was wearing a Red Izod hat and a red and white sweat suit and was carrying a red Door Dash bag.
Mount Healthy police said they're investigating the incident.

"He just happened top walk in the 15 minutes that we were not able to keep an eye on everybody," Raleigh said.
It actually happened once before, years ago, according to Raleigh. Now, there will be no more unsupervised one-on-one time with pups, he said.
The store is asking anyone with information about the puppy thief to call them at 513-931-6139 or the Mount Healthy Police Department at 513-825-2280.
