MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Ohio State Highway Patrol and Miami Township Fire responded to the scene of a plane crash on Deerfield Drive on Saturday afternoon, according to OSP.

OSP said Phillip Sullivan, 21, from Louisville was piloting a 1956 Piper Pacer airplane from Wadsworth, Ohio at around 4:33 p.m., when he experienced mechanical issues and made a forced landing on a residential street in Miami Twp., roughly 13 miles northeast of Lunken Airport.

The small, single-engine plane hit one small tree, several mailboxes and a street light before it came to a stop in a residential yard.

No one was injured in the emergency landing.
