LOVELAND, Ohio -- Two people jumped from a third-story window during an apartment fire Sunday morning.

Firefighters rescued a third person with a ladder.

The fire was at the MacArthur Park Apartments on Park Avenue, according to the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department.

A woman called 911 and said she couldn't get to the door. She told the operator she was in a bedroom.

"I can't breathe through the smoke," she said.

The operator asked her to jump to safety. The woman said she couldn't. She stayed near a window, apparently yelling to the two others below.

"I'm about to (expletive) pass out," she said.

Charles Blasingame lives on the floor below. He said he heard the woman screaming.

“I woke up to, ‘Help me, help me, help me,’” he said. “Me and another guy ran up the stairs to see if we could help her. Opened the door -- black smoke everywhere so we couldn’t get in.”

All three people were taken to a hospital.

The fire was contained to one room, the fire department said.
