LOCKLAND, Ohio — A water main break in the Village of Lockland has the village under a boil advisory and caused school administrators to close all Lockland schools on Thursday and Friday.
The break happened Wednesday morning in the 100 block of South Wayne Avenue, which is not far from the Lockland Elementary School and Lockland High School. Crews said they repaired the break Thursday morning around 5 a.m., but the advisory and closures were still in effect.

At first, Lockland officials said a boil advisory was in effect for certain homes in the area of the break. Now, the entire village is under a boil advisory and schools were closed for the remainder of the week.
Officials are asking residents to limit their overall water usage as much as possible until the results of lab tests come back.
Village officials don't think a health threat exists, but they still want residents to be cautious.
