Sheriff: 56-year-old pedestrian killed on I-75 identified

LOCKLAND, Ohio — A 56-year-old woman was struck and killed on I-75 southbound near Lockland on Sunday, the Hamilton County Sheriff's office said.

The Hamilton County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Diane Ras from Cincinnati.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. deputies responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near Shepherd Lane, close to the 12.6 mile marker.

Police closed the interstate for hours while the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit investigated.

The cause of the crash has not yet been released.

The condition of the driver in the striking vehicle is unknown at this time.

The sheriff's office has not said if any charges will be filed.
