Sheriff: Victim identified, suspect arrested in Lincoln Heights murder

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, Ohio — Officials with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said they've made an arrest in the Sunday morning homicide of a Lincoln Heights man.

Deputies said they responded to the area of Leggett Street and Jackson Street in Lincoln Heights around 3:30 a.m. where they found the body of Bruce W. Nixon, 54. Investigators said Nixon died as a result of blunt force trauma and that the suspect fled the scene.

Investigators said they identified Jamol Sherman Morris, 30, as the suspect in the killing and found him on Jackson Street later Sunday morning. Morris was taken in for questioning and then arrested and charged for Nixon's murder.
