GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A late Thursday night crash between a Green Township Police Department cruiser and another car caused the cruiser to land on its top.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, 23-year-old Daniel Spegal Jr. didn't observe a red-light and drove into the intersection of West Fork and North Bend roads around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. When Spegal drove into the intersection, he crashed into the Green Township police cruiser.
First responders transported Spegal and the officer to different hospitals, and both had non-life threatening injuries. Both are expected to be OK.
Deputies said they think drugs/alcohol and speed were factors in this crash. However, it isn't known whether anyone will face any charges at this time.
The crash is still under investigation.
