GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A woman died Tuesday evening after she was struck while crossing North Bend Road near Reemelin Road, authorities said.
Police responded to the intersection at 8:34 p.m. The pedestrian, 70-year-old Sherry Ray, was crossing North Bend Road when a driver, headed southbound, struck her. Ray was not walking in a marked crosswalk, police said.
Ray died at the hospital at about 10:30 p.m.
According to investigators, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in this crash. The driver was not injured.
The Green Township Police Traffic Unit continues to investigate.
