FAIRFIELD, Ohio — A motorcycle and SUV collided in Fairfield Sunday afternoon, killing the driver of the motorcycle, according to police.
In a press release, Fairfield Police said they responded to the crash at South Gilmore Rd. and Resor Rd. at around 1:41 p.m.
According to police, a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2017 Toyota Highlander collided at the intersection. The driver of the SUV was transported to Mercy Hospital by a family member and sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle was also transported to Mercy Hospital by ambulance, but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officials have not identified the drivers involved, or a reason for the crash. According to police, the crash is still under investigation.
