Two pedestrians were struck and killed in separate incidents in East Price Hill and Fairfield Thursday night, according to police.
Larry Mattingly, 36, was struck while trying to cross Glenway Avenue at Quebec Avenue. Mattingly was not in a crosswalk, police said in a news release.
The driver did not appear to be speeding or impaired, according to police. No charges have been filed.
Last year, the City of Cincinnati made safety upgrades on Warsaw Avenue in East Price Hill and in Northside and Over-the-Rhine to protect pedestrians.
In Fairfield, a male pedestrian was fatally hit on John Gray Road, according to Fairfield police.
Police have not released the victim’s name or the circumstances of the incident.
Both investigations are continuing, police said.
