FAIRFIELD, Ohio — A grand jury on Monday declined to indict the Rev. David Glockner, an 84-year-old priest who had been accused of “inappropriate contact” with two young girls in early August.
According to the Journal-News, the grand jury found no credible evidence that a crime had been committed.
However, Glockner will still face an investigation by Glenmary Home Missioners, the Fairfield-based Catholic organization to which he belongs.
Glenmary’s mission is to encourage ministry in rural communities, according to the group’s website, and it sent Glockner to Vanceburg, Kentucky’s Holy Redeemer Church in 2012.
He will not return to ministry until the investigation is complete, according to Glenmary.
