FAIRFIELD, Ohio — A Fairfield City School District bus driver has been placed on leave as police investigate claims she assaulted an elementary school student, the Journal News reported Tuesday.
Police documents indicate the family of the student, who attends Central Elementary, reported May 3 their daughter had been assaulted in the school parking lot.
District officials confirmed a bus driver was being investigated, although they did not confirm the reason.
“The matter is being investigated by the Fairfield Police Department and the bus driver has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation. I have no additional comment at this time,” Superintendent Billy Smith told the Journal-News.
