DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Scott Wittich is determined to keep his family’s memory alive.

It’s been nine years since Wittich’s two children were shot and killed by his estranged wife, who then shot and killed herself.

With the help of his daughters, Katie and Lindsey, Wittich startedFrom Our Angels to Yours, an organization that aims to donate $20,000 a year to charities that benefit children, including the Ronald McDonald House and ProKids, a non-profit that helps foster children.

"We realized we were able to make a difference in other people's lives-- it kind of snowballed," Scott said.

Over 400 people attended the family’s benefit Saturday evening in Delhi Township to help raise money for the Cincinnati charities.

"It was so hard to lose kids of your own, and we didn't want anyone else to have to go through that,” Lindsey said.

Scott said there isn’t a day that goes by that he and his surviving children don’t think about 7-year-old Sydney and 10-year-old Jake.

Katie Wittich remembers her little brother fondly.

"He loved videos games… he loved Skyline three ways," she said.

The family said the love and support of the community has helped them heal.

"There's not words to describe how thankful and how grateful we are,” Katie said.
