COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A hit-and-run driver struck a child as the child was walking to school Friday morning, according to Colerain Township police spokesman Jim Love.
The driver hit the 10-year-old at about 7:17 a.m. as they were crossing Colerain Avenue near Banning Road, Love said. The driver is believed to be a white man driving a light colored, four-door sedan. The child was not in a crosswalk.
First responders transported the child to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The child’s injuries are not life threatening.
