COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Colerain Township police ended their search Thursday afternoon for a missing four-year-old girl after she was reported found in Kentucky.
Authorities were asking Wednesday for the public’s help finding 4-year-old Lakota Elliot, who police said was taken Wednesday night by her mother, Emily Elliot.
Colerain Township Police spokesman Jim Love said he did not know precisely where in Kentucky Lakota was found.
"After being notified she had lost custody of Lakota, Emily took off with the child. Lakota was wearing purple jacket. They were seen getting into a black vehicle with a Kentucky registration," read an alert from Colerain Township Police. "Law enforcement is very concerned for the safety of the child."
